Allentown Children’s Community Services Announces New CEO/President | Lehigh Valley Regional News

ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania | Community Children’s Services (CSC) is proud to announce that Deidra Vachier has been appointed CEO/President effective March 11, 2022.

Officials say Vachier worked at CSC for 24 years in various roles, most recently serving as vice president of early childhood development. Throughout his career, Vachier has championed quality early learning.

She was responsible for administering the Head Start/Early Head Start and Pre-K counts programs, led a team of over 300 people, and is dedicated to the continuous improvement of our staff and programming.

In her previous role, she successfully advanced the field of early childhood education through continued advocacy for children and families, ensuring fiscal integrity and accountability, officials noted. She has also been actively involved in ongoing program evaluation for continuous quality improvement and in writing new and ongoing grants and requests for proposals to maintain funding in support of a diverse funding stream.

On behalf of the CSC Board of Directors, Camie Modjadidi, M.Ed., Chair, said, “The Board enthusiastically welcomes Deidra to her new role as CEO/Chair of CSC. Deidra has continuously demonstrated her expertise in the field of early childhood education; his devotion to our entire CSC family; and commitment to pursuing CSC’s mission.

Vachier is currently a board member of the Pennsylvania Head Start Association and sits on the advisory board for the Lehigh County Office of Children and Youth, according to officials’ statements.

She holds the Pennsylvania Principal’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation System Trainer Certification as well as the PA Department of Education’s Teaching Certification for Pre-K through 4th grade.

Vachier succeeds Paula Margraf, who retired after six years as CEO and 23 years with the organization.
