Caroline Raymond joins Maine Behavioral Healthcare as Senior Director of Community Services

Caroline Raymond

Caroline Raymond joined Maine Behavioral Healthcare as Senior Director of Community Services. Raymond, of Cape Elizabeth, brings nearly 25 years of leadership and direct service experience to his new role. She was previously a superintendent at Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.

Deb Haggerty

Deb Haggerty joined Kennebunk Beach Realty as a sales agent.
Haggerty brings experience in sales, marketing, graphic design and administration.

Samuel Boyton has been hired by Ardiah Managed Services as Business Development and Sales Manager in its new Brunswick office. Boynton brings 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held positions as a Loan Officer, Consultant/Sales Leader, and Licensed Insurance/Financial Tools Agent. Most recently, he ran his own agency called the Boynton Agency in the Augusta area.

Northeast Bank has hired Katie Rooks as relationship manager for its merchant banking team. Rooks brings over 18 years of business development experience. She previously worked for the American Heart Association as Director of Corporate Events.

York Hospital has announced the following additions to its medical staff.

Dr. Sophia Adams

Sophie Adams joined the hospital team. Dr. Adams has held hospitalist positions at Millinocket Regional Hospital and Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was previously a vein specialist at the Vein Healthcare Center in South Portland.

Erin Cullen

Erin Cullen also joined the staff as a hospitalist. Cullen brings her experience as a Registered Critical Care Nurse/PACU and Cardiovascular Radiology Nurse to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Teressa Peck

Teressa Peck was hired as a family nurse practitioner at York Family Practice. Peck was previously a registered nurse at York Family Practice.

Maine Medical Partners announces the following new hires.

Sarah Deery

Sarah Elisabeth Deery, MD, MPH, joined Maine Medical Partners – Vascular Surgery. Dr. Deery was a general surgery resident at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Ansar Hassan

Ansar Hassan, MDCM, Ph.D., has joined MMP Cardiovascular Surgery in Portland. Dr. Hassan has spent the past 12+ years as a Cardiac Surgeon at the New Brunswick Heart Centre, Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, New Brunswick.

Catherine Hurst

Catherine Hurst, MD, has joined MMP’s Pediatric Specialty Care in the Developmental/Behavioral Medicine Division. Dr. Hurst is Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Jessie Kerr

Jessie Kerr, MD, joined MMP Pediatric Care in South Portland. Prior to MaineHealth, Dr. Kerr practiced pediatrics at Northern Navajo Medical Center, Shiprock, New Mexico.

Grant Oakley

Grant Oakley, DO, joined MMP Nephrology Care. He was a member of Maine Medical Center and a resident of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

Kristen Orloff

Kirsten Orloff MD joined Pediatric Critical Care at Maine Medical Center. She was a resident and chief resident at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, DC. She is certified in pediatrics.

Kerrie Tripp

Kerrie Tripp joined Sutherland Weston as Director of Tourism and Hospitality Marketing. Tripp brings his experience as a longtime director of the Greater Bangor Convention & Visitors Bureau.

PROMOTIONS
Robert Pontau was promoted to General Manager of the Brunswick Sewer District. Pontau has been the district’s deputy chief executive since 2010. Prior to that, he spent a few years as director of public works at Topsham.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Jenn Deschene

Jenn Deschene joined the United Way of Aroostook Board of Directors.
Deschene is the community engagement manager at University Credit Union.

GENERAL

Jason Shedlock

The Maine State Building and Construction Trades Council recently elected Jason Shedlock as president. Shedlock previously served as executive director of the trades council, which is made up of 17 affiliated construction unions representing more than 5,000 workers statewide. He is also a director and serves on the board of the AFL-CIO of Maine as well as the Southern Maine Labor Council. Shedlock was elected after the retirement of longtime president Johnny Napolitano, who led the organization for 14 years.
