NCHC and North Central Community Services Program Board Announce Appointment of Interim Executive Director

WAUSAU, Wis. – North Central Health Care (NCHC) and the North Central Community Services Program (NCCSP) Board of Directors announced the appointment of Mort McBain as the organization’s interim executive director effective April 1, 2022. The appointment of McBain follows the resignation of Jill Meschke, interim chief executive and chief financial officer. The NCCP Board of Directors will continue discussions regarding the recruitment of a permanent Executive Director.

McBain’s 33 years of experience in county leadership roles, including 21 years as Marathon County Administrator, provide a solid foundation for his leadership of NCHC. During his tenure as county administrator, he oversaw the improvement of library facilities, the creation of a combined county-wide 9-1-1 dispatch system, the implementation of forensic alternatives and a capital improvement program to update various county facilities. McBain holds a Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Sociology from Idaho State University.

As interim CEO, McBain will be responsible for overseeing administrative functions while ensuring an ongoing commitment to patient care, quality and safety.
